What scared you as a child?

I don't normally read many of the free papers or magazines given out in London, but caught a glimpse of the following article in this week's 'Shortlist' magazine that someone was reading on the train home. So when he left it on the table I took a closer look.

Over half the featured screen characters that the journalist was scared by as a kid I still remember vividly. Some are more obvious choices than others and it was good to see it wasn't just a list of popular movie villains. General Woundwort, Pennywise, the Skeksis and Death from the Public Information Films were particular favourites of mine (!) and the list has made me You Tube others that obviously passed me by such as The Tall Thin Man and Abner Brown.

So I include the article for your enjoyment!
