More seasonal devilishness

Thank God that the hateful time of year known as 'Christmas & New Year' is finally over for another 12 months. The TV stations and newspapers have focussed on and covered their usual bleak story of a missing person later to be found murdered just to make us feel bad enough for all the gluttonous deeds we have been committing all season. All we need now is a huge natural disaster for them to report on too! An earthquake of tsunami should do it! And then there's all the destruction of any religious message and meaning to the season by the same TV and newspaper companies' acts of over-commercialisation.

Anyway today I was at an antiques fair in Folkestone and picked up these two seasonal greetings cards: a witch posted in England in 1906 and a great card showing the Krampus posted from Hungary in 1909.

So "peace and goodwill to all"!
