For the second year running I took the bus to Hastings with a friend to see the Jack-in-the-Green festival. A slightly different route through the Old Town this year, but just as enjoyable. The procession then continued up the hill to the old castle ruins above the seaside town for an afternoon of Morris Dancing and folk singing whilst bathed in glorious sunshine. The Jack was the slain to symbolise the death of winter and the birth of summer. So below are some photos of some of day. Enjoy... and...
