On the way to the airport to go to Japan, there was a Lego shop in Duty Free at Gatwick. So below are a couple of photos. The Nightmare Before Christmas set they only had as a display model and were awaiting stock; but they did have the Hocus Pocus set and a free halloween pumpkin if you spent over a certain amount. And whereas it's not Halloween themed, the Titanic was impressive.
A more couple of Japanese halloween photos
Here are a couple more images from my recent Japan trip. The sign on the lampost was simply advertising a local halloween event.
Then in the local Family Mart convenience store there were a couple of Snoopy halloween gifts. To be honest, although I am a Snoopy fan, I didn't like the white & and orange colouring on Snoopy and thought both items were overpriced for what they were.
The hotel where we stayed also had a couple of decorations just inside their front door.
The final two photos are adverts, one on the side of a coffee shop and the other advertising a beer.

Halloween in Japan 2024
This year I've been a bit remiss at posting photos of Halloween goodies found in local shops, as I have been away on holiday in Tokyo. So here are some photos of the sweets and snacks found on my travels.
Folkestone's Old High Street
Whilst wandering up Folkestone's Old High Street on Saturday, I noticed the below in the Etsy shop.

Waitrose Halloween 2024
The local Hythe supermarket had a small display of Halloween items at the end of an aisle, however they did have more of the wooden wreaths by their front door too.

Tesco Halloween 2024
The local Tesco in Folkestone isn't the biggest store and so it's half-aisle wasn't packed with anything too exciting this year, just the basic decorations and a few items of clothing. I'm sure a larger store will have a better selection.
Asda puts out its stock
The local Adsa in Folkestone had it's Halloween fare out for sale when I popped in yesterday evening. The usual kinds of decorations and costumes were on the main aisle. It was interesting to see the Nb4C wreath that Sainsbury's had for sale a couple of years agon, now for sale in Asda. The Jack Skellington plate was a nice item and priced at a reasonable £8. There were a few Beetlejuice items but not much left and the glasses were probaly the best of what was left.
Also at the ends of the aisles were crockery and homewares, such as a mat, candles, candle holders, wreaths, wicker storage baskets and jugs. The crockery that was produced last year in ornage is also available in other colours too this year.
And at the end of clothing aisles were t-shirts and sleepware, a couple of examples are shown here. It was good to see a Snoopy (womens) t-shirt (shown below), and there is a Chucky t-shirt this year
Sainsburys puts stock out
The bigger of the two local Sainsburys had their Halloween stock out when I visited it yesterday. Usual fare. Some wooden decorations and garlands. Mugs and plates but in more muted colours this year. It was good to see a continuation of Nightmare Before Christmas items - a few were ceramic, but the baubles looked quite plastic. There were also a few items based on the Wednesday TV series and the new Beetlejuice Beetlejuice film - so lets hope there might be a few more different choices going forward in future years.

Morrisons leads the way
The local Morrisons store in Folkestone is the first of the local supermarkets to get their Halloween decorations on display. Ususal fare, nothing unusual for collectors though.
More Stock at TK Maxx
On another visit today into Folkestone, noticed that more decorations are out.
