A passing visit and more of the same, but the shelves have been restocked. Of notable differences was the owl decoration and on a separate table some tableware. Personally, skulls wearing hats don't do it for me, but there will those for whom it does I'm sure!

The Range - Halloween 2019

Again a shop selling a lot of costumes and decorations that don't really cut it with me. The three-headed skeleton dogs have been done to death these past few years. The only thing a bit unusual this year were these halloween metal tealight holders - one to be hung on a metal pole and the other, slightly larger to sit on a flat surface. I wasn't so keen on some of the slightly glittery parts of the witches hat, but like the pumpkin made up of thin strips of metal looks the part.

Trick or Treat from B&M Bargains

Again, another shop has its halloween wares out already, but I didn't feel the need to photograph the usual costume, partyware and decorations from the lower end of the market. However there were a couple of nicely designed items worth a mention. The Frankenstein themed plastic candy bowl for treats is a bit unusual... although the warning to only place wrapped sweets in it may allude to the trick part of 'trick or treat' if there's possibly toxicity issues if unwrapped sweets are used!

Also, at only £2.99 I thought this hanging dead doll decoration better than most seen in recent years.

Hobby Craft 2019

Another store in Ashford is Hobby Craft, which will probably have very similar stuff in every year as there is only so many things you can make, paint or bake! But their halloween selections are out, so if you want to paint a ceramic pumpkin, bake a cake in a rather nice pumpkin cake tray, or fill a glass skull with something, this is the place to go.

TK Maxx - different store, same stuff

Well I went to the bigger store in Ashford today but it was more of the same really. Plenty of pumpkin related decorations trying to look vintage but just failing to get the look right... although the light up cat and owl came close! To be fair it is a good year for pumpkin spiced candles in TK Maxx this year though.

Poundland 2019

Well, Poundland have started to put their decorations out. However, whereas ten or so years ago, Poundland had a lot of quality yet cheap goods, with their prices staying the same something has to suffer and the goods on sale this year are unremarkable to say the least.

The only notable item on show so far is this rather odd scary clown tealight holder.
